Public Relations Director
Carrie brings 17 years of award-winning experience helping clients all over the country uncover and tell their stories. And it only took four years of commuting from Maine to Boston before realizing the best stories can be told at a great agency like GarrandPartners, right here in Portland.
An expert in all media, Carrie’s 8 years as a media relations and account strategist at Weber Shandwick solidified her public relations foundation. Carrie built national campaigns and landed top-tier media placements (The Today Show, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Martha Stewart Living, Newsweek, etc.) for brands like Staples, Lexmark, CVS Pharmacy and KB Toys to help increase market share and sales, build brand awareness and launch new products or initiatives.
Carrie brings this same rigor and skill to GarrandPartners and provides counsel and support for clients on strategic messaging, media relations, social media engagement and community outreach. She also provides customized media training and crisis communication counsel. She has led the Dunkin’ Donuts account since 2009 and helped re-invigorate their local presence by systematically uncovering, articulating and creating campaigns that put them in the hearts of their local communities. Whether it was building their social media presence, integrating in-person events or gaining media buzz, Carrie credits her experience and great team – and only a few (hundred) Dunkin’ coffees – for her tireless enthusiasm and success.
From launching new national products from DeLorme to extending the reach of the Hood New England Dairy Cook Off through bloggers, social media engagement and vast earned media coverage to helping executives uncover and articulate dynamic messages, the only consistent things Carrie and her team bring are creative thinking, great execution and amazing results.
Carrie is all about the story and she is always happy to share some of her favorites to anyone that will listen.
